The power of God!

The power of God 2 Timothy 3:1-5 New King James Version (NKJV) Perilous Times and Perilous Men 3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! Many people deny the power of Jesus Christ, but I tell you the power of God still lives today, it is active in those who believe in Jesus Christ. The apostles in the New Testament did many miracles and healing in the name of Jesus Christ and sometimes you read and you think to yourself why don’t I see these things? It’s by our faith we can heal the sick and do miracles. Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Well we can see there is faith on this earth but how much? Very little I say. It’s by the name of Jesus Christ that we can do these signs. Matthew 28:18 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. So we see by the name of Jesus and by our faith in him we can lay our hands on the sick and they will be healed. We are given the authority and the power inside of us which is the Holy Spirit Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons: freely you have received, freely give. And Jesus also said: John 14:12 King James Version Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. I read this bible verse and I look back at all the miracles Jesus did and all the healings he did and he said to us greater things we can do, he didn’t just say that to the apostles, that’s to everyone, So he said that to all of us, do you believe this? Jesus also said to us in Mark 16:15-18 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Jesus told us to go do these things. The power of God is active today and his words are sharper than a double edged sword. His power lives in us, his spirit lives in us, are you going to let God work through you? Saying all this we must be led by the holy spirit because if we go in our own strength we will fail. God will lead us into situations where we need to heal the sick or do a miracle, but its only by his command we are able to do these things. There are many false miracle workers and healings out there today, the healings that are of God, glorify God, lead people to salvation in Jesus Christ, they produce good fruits and line up with the word of God. What is impossible for men is possible with God, all things are possible though God all it takes is faith. Now what is faith? Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We can see through scripture the power of God lives! Through time in believing in Jesus Christ we will grow in faith.

  1. Hi Nick, I would like to share something about myself, which might be an encouragement to you and your brothers.

I experienced living like the book of Acts church around 25 years ago, when I went to a missionary school called, Youth With A Mission.

The missionary school involved 3 months of discipleship training, and then 3 months of going on a mission trip to a poor country like Honduras Central America for 3 months, to try to help the poor out there, and do some street evangelism with the local churches.

On our Missionary trip in 1987 we saw many miracles, and demons cast out, and many people receive salvation, during our 6-month school course.

After returning to Canada where I live, I have seen very little of God’s miraculous power, and have not been able to persuade people to get saved where I live, since I returned to Canada around 25 years ago.

The churches in the city which I live, have never had much interest in acting like the church in the book of Acts, and I don’t have an interest in going to them.

God has given me visions about His wrath being released on the wicked in the future, and when people become sick, and poor, and dying, because of His wrath, then Jesus said to me, in a vision, now is the time to preach.

I am just trying to get prepared for the miracle of God’s wrath to fall down upon the wicked in the future, and I am trying to let God teach me how to preach His gospel of salvation correctly, at this time, so that I can be ready to be able to do this in my future, when I need too.

I believe that when God pours out His wrath against the wicked in a greater measure in the future, then He will also pour out His Spirit’s power upon His faithful servants in a greater measure also, to be able to act more like His servants acted, back in the book of Acts church days.

My major Spiritual gifts are prophet, and teacher. In the future I hope to join up with people who desire to get serious about serving God, like the Apostles were serving God, and do more activities like the book of Acts church did, in my city.

People need to get shaken by God’s wrath, and develop a more healthy fear of God, before they are going to want to seek to become saved by Him, or start to serve Him.

The people in Honduras were sick, and poor, and dying, and a lot of them wanted to get saved when preached too. I will need to wait until the people in my city become sick, and poor, and dying, before they might want to become saved through my preaching in the future.

In my future I am planning to do miracles, and evangelize, in my city, like I did in my past in Honduras, and I am trying to seek God to help me prepare for being able to do that, now.

I have tried to do some Christian teaching videos on YouTube since 2010, but haven’t met many people wanting to get saved through my teaching videos yet on YouTube.

God has taught me some valuable lessons through commenting with people on YouTube, mostly about the Biblical errors that most people try to believe in, and I am learn how to teach God’s truth in a more accurate way, through trying to make teaching videos about it.

I hope to be able to use some of the teaching videos that I am making now on YouTube, to be able to teach people in the future with, when they become interested in learning about what I try to teach about, in the future, in my city.

I am hoping for some kind of revival in my city in the future, and I am trying to prepare for it now. I discovered your YouTube channel recently, and I like you and your brothers strong desire to want to try to teach people about their urgent need of God’s salvation in the videos on your wattacoota, YouTube channel.

I believe that God is trying to train His future church leaders now, so that they might be ready to take on those leadership positions in the future, when God needs them too.

May God continue to teach you and your brothers, how to become leaders for His future church. Rod. (My YouTube channel name is TruthTeachings.)
