The power of God!

The power of God 2 Timothy 3:1-5 New King James Version (NKJV) Perilous Times and Perilous Men 3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! Many people deny the power of Jesus Christ, but I tell you the power of God still lives today, it is active in those who believe in Jesus Christ. The apostles in the New Testament did many miracles and healing in the name of Jesus Christ and sometimes you read and you think to yourself why don’t I see these things? It’s by our faith we can heal the sick and do miracles. Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Well we can see there is faith on this earth but how much? Very little I say. It’s by the name of Jesus Christ that we can do these signs. Matthew 28:18 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. So we see by the name of Jesus and by our faith in him we can lay our hands on the sick and they will be healed. We are given the authority and the power inside of us which is the Holy Spirit Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons: freely you have received, freely give. And Jesus also said: John 14:12 King James Version Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. I read this bible verse and I look back at all the miracles Jesus did and all the healings he did and he said to us greater things we can do, he didn’t just say that to the apostles, that’s to everyone, So he said that to all of us, do you believe this? Jesus also said to us in Mark 16:15-18 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Jesus told us to go do these things. The power of God is active today and his words are sharper than a double edged sword. His power lives in us, his spirit lives in us, are you going to let God work through you? Saying all this we must be led by the holy spirit because if we go in our own strength we will fail. God will lead us into situations where we need to heal the sick or do a miracle, but its only by his command we are able to do these things. There are many false miracle workers and healings out there today, the healings that are of God, glorify God, lead people to salvation in Jesus Christ, they produce good fruits and line up with the word of God. What is impossible for men is possible with God, all things are possible though God all it takes is faith. Now what is faith? Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We can see through scripture the power of God lives! Through time in believing in Jesus Christ we will grow in faith.
